Some information and faqs about using Penis Plugs and Wands
Penis Plug FAQs
The following information on and about the use of Penis Plugs and wands is presented here for guidance only and although every effort has been made to make sure it is correct it should not be considered factual or medically correct. If you have any concerns relating to the heath of your penis then you should seek the appropriate medical advice.
What is A Penis Plug?
A Penis Plug is a small, stainless steel plug or wand that is inserted into the penis for [mostly] erotic purposes. They are probably best known as a "Prince's Wand" or "Prince Albert wand" but from the simple wand shape there are now many different types and styles to choose from. Man has always had a bit of an obsession with poking things into dark holes and this is no different except that it is still little known about by most people even though there are many out there that enjoy utheral play on a regular basis.
Why Do People Use Penis Plugs?
Why not? It's something to try and some people find them very erotic, enjoyable or simply just get turned-on with urethral play; others won't like it at all; but of course, until you have tried you will never know. Another reason is that they can provide a pierced look with out the trouble of having a piercing. If you're thinking yuck and crossing your legs with the very thought then best to pass on by, but if you think you might be missing out on something then have a look at our currently available plugs and see if anything takes your fancy.
It Must Hurt, Right?
Yes and no. To begin with it is not the most comfortable thing to do, but as long as you are being gentle then it is not really painful. Remember that you are in control of the process so that if it does get to much or you do find it painful then you don't have to go any further with it. On that basis, we do recommend that you use a small plug or wand the first time out.
So, What Does it Feel Like?
It's probably different things for different people. The best general description is the that it is a bit 'stingy' but not in painful nettle type of sting sort of way. It's an odd sort of sensation that can be very stimulating and erotic for some; as with all things it is a personal choice and while there are those that just can't get enough of it, there are those that it does nothing for. What Size Penis Plug or Wand is Right for Me?
That's anyone's guess really. The top of the penis should happily accommodate 10mm but as you go further down things get a little narrower. The best bet is to start with a small (one 6 - 8mm max) and see how it works for you. As for length, well that obviously depends a little on where about's in the queue you were when they were handing out your manhood, all joking aside, around 2" (50mm) would probably be a good start. As with most holes, just a bit of lubrication required. For sort term wear or for just having a bit of a play with a penis plug then a sterile water based lubricant will be fine. If you intend to wear a Prince's Wand for any length of time then an oil based (such as vaseline) lubricant would be best as the water based lubricants can get absorbed (dry out) making the removal of the plug a little difficult.
Won't It Fall Out?
Yeah, pretty much; That is unless there's something to stop it falling out, but that does spoil the illusion of it being a piercing. Smaller sizes seem to stay in longer and using a small amount of a thick lubricant helps. The alternative is to use a plug or wand that includes a glans ring(s) to hold it in place.
Will It Do Me Any Harm?
You do need to keep it clean and sterile as anything less than clean can potentially lead to an infection. Also, if it is a bit on the big side and you go jamming it down there like a jack hammer then there is a good chance that you might tear a bit of skin. Neither are likely to be a major problem (unless you keep doing it and save the embarrassment of having to see the doctor) but best to try and avoid such things. As with all things, just go carefully and everything should be fine.
Can I Stretch Myself So I Can Use A Larger Plug?
Apparently so, hence the use of Dilators.
What If I Cum Or Pee?
With solid plugs, unless it is a very good fit, then if you cum it is likely to leak out or push the plug out, I wouldn't try to pee with it in. Many penis plugs do come with a through hole that allow you to ejaculate and urinate whilst still wearing them.
How Long Can I Keep It In?
This does vary a little depending on the plug and also just how much you use one. Realistically, you're unlikely to want to have one in for more than a few hours. At first it will probably quite a short time but as you get used to wearing them then you will find that you can keep them in for longer. Ideally, you want to remove them before the lubricant dries out.
I Can't Afford One, What else Can I Use?
We know they are not the cheapest things to buy but we sell ours at very competitive prices to try to make them affordable and we're working on a low cost beginners plug - watch this space. It's probably not a good idea to go searching around the house for things to use instead and we can't suggest you try. The last thing that you want to do is to do yourself a damage and you're probably better off saving up to get a stainless steel plug.
Where Do I Buy A Penis Plug?
